Using wine kits
I've made beer and spirit but never tried wine. Has anybody tried those wine kits you can buy at the brew shop?
I don’t want to spend $60 unless I’m sure its good,
Call me cheap?

Brewing Bill, I have made the Vintners Reserve Chardonnay and my friends raved about how good it was.
Its not much different to making beer except you have to rack it once which means you need to have two fermenter.
That’s no problem.
Give it a go.

I have made both the Vintners Reserve and the Chai Mason. The Vintners is superior to the Chai Mason although most are good. I had a go at fruit wines but cant say that I liked them much. I'm a Grape wine fan myself and these kits are very good.

I do not know too much about wine. But is is worth doing the kits when you can buy wine so cheaply? Is it that much better doing it at home?

RE: Using wine kits
Hey I have a wine kit half way through and it smelt good when I last racked it, about 15 days before bottling! I was wanting to know can you reuse screw lid wine bottles? Has anybody used them or is it best with corks?

Thanks for any one with some info.
